Artist's Description

This is the Friedrich Matz Homestead, circa 1852, Hwy 19 west of Madison, WI. This is the barn, but the family's house was about 75 feet south of this building. Unfortunately, the house burned down in 1949, the framework. of stone ruins still stands there.
